This musical adaptation has toured multiple UK and US cities over the past five years and was a popular event at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. This year marks the 200th anniversary of the publication of Persuasions.
This annual ten-day music festival featuring the jazz, blues and world music of local Canadian, and internationally acclaimed musicians. This is the longest running multi-day professional music festival on Vancouver Island.
In celebration of Aboriginal Culture, values, language and cuisine this annual festival holds three days of spectacular performances. The outdoor stage outside of the museum hosts Indigenous performers from across the province!
Annually held on Father’s Day spanning over nine city blocks in the street. This year the event is also hosting the First Peoples’ Festival and presents a complete day of programming, vendors and food in celebration of Canada’s First People’s culture.

Reflect on your childhood imagination, dreams and play with this ongoing and expanding project.
All of this is translated by multi-disciplinary artist Jennie Suddick, who “envisions the tree house as both a personal space and a realm of the imagination, a lens through which to consider changing landscape, autonomy, and nostalgia.”
Suddick invited the public since last summer of 2017 to share their unrealized childhood plans for tree houses and other forts. Taking these with some collaborative efforts scale paper architectural models and detailed drawing have been brought to life.
