TD Victoria International Jazz Festival is a ten day event with both local Canadian artist and international artist. Presented and produced by Victoria Jazz Society, this festival is one of the longest running multi-day professional music festival serving audiences on Vancouver Island.

Celebrating National Indigenous Peoples Day weekend for the 6th year running enjoy and learn from British Columbia’s Indigenous community members. Our host nations are Songhees and Esquimalt Nations will start out each day with performances. Indigenous artisans will be on-site with their goods for sale, including special artisan demonstrations on their creative process. Also stay around to sample the culinary talents of the Songhees Nation with various traditional items available.

Enjoy Father’s day with the whole community at this annual outdoor festival. Over nine city blocks, the  celebration includes five stages with live entertainment, a 4,000 square foot park, multiple all-ages licensed food and beverage areas, a 19+ Beer Garden, more than 400 local artists and makers as well as activations created by local businesses and organizations. Car Free YYJ is also honoured to host the First Peoples’ Festival which presents a complete day of programming, vendors and food in celebration of Canada’s First Peoples’ culture.

The Island Farms Victoria Day Parade is the largest parade of the year in Victoria. Floats including Canadian and American marching bands, musical floats, cultural entries and festive clowns. Be sure to visit Celebration Square, located in Centennial Square after the parade for more event fun.

The Highland games is one of the oldest festival in North America to host a three full-day highland games. This event attracts around 25,000 people each year. This year will be the 156 games and is expected to be the largest in its history of games with expanded list of activities and events.

Stars on Ice offers Canadian fans the rare opportunity to witness some of the country’s most accomplished gifted champions preforming together. This cast will included NAM NGUYEN, a two- time national champion. This tour will be visiting 12 different cities nationwide.

Tartan Parade

The police escorted parade will travel down Government Street to the Legislature Buildings for a wonderful celtic performance. Enjoy a performance on the lawns of 10 pipe bands with a highland fling danced and the caber is tossed. This event is to promote the highland games the following weekend.
