Northwest Coast Paddles have evolved from traditional usage with function into a method for artists to interpret their style onto a truly unique contemporary art form.
World-renowned celebrity marine wildlife mural artist Robert Wyland will be hosting a free mural painting demonstration and Nature Sketch event outside Steamship Terminal’s Inner Harbour. Wyland is best known in Victoria for his 130 ft. long x 7 story high Whaling Wall titled “A-5 Pod” on Wharf St. This event will support World Ocean’s Day and a plastic free sea.
Prior to the event Wyland is docking at the Ogden Point Harbour for a few special hours on the Norwegian Bliss Cruise Ship’s maiden voyage from Seattle to promote his latest mural blessing that he painted on the ship’s hull.
This annual event showcases a variety of local restaurants, breweries, wineries, cideries & spirit makers throughout the Greater Victoria. Entrance into the event gives you 10 tasting tickets with additional tasting tickets available during the event.
Visit the lower level of The Bay Centre to see the Habitat for Humanity Victoria’s art auction and fundraiser. The works of 31 local artists and businesses who are donating their time and talent in support of Habitat Victoria’s Build Program.
The artists are challenged with the task to create a piece of art using materials found at the Habitat Victoria ReStores, transforming used and discarded household items and building materials into beautiful works of art or upcycled furniture.

Celebrate Robert Bateman’s 88th birthday and the Robert Bateman Centre’s 5th anniversary. Everyone can go into the centre by donation, public tours will occur at 10:00am & 2:00pm and a special Curatorial Tour will begin at 12:00pm. Don’t forget to sign the birthday card for Robert!
